Applications are invited from suitably qualified Nigerians for
appointment to the post of Bursar, Federal University
of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Nigeria.

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun
(FUPRE), Delta State Nigeria was established in March,
2007 under a Federal Government of Nigeria initiative
to build a specialized University to produce unique high
level manpower and relevant expertise for the Oil and Gas
sector in Nigeria and worldwide.

FUPRE is the first of its kind in Africa and it is destined to
be one of the best in terms of excellence and relevance.


FUPRE`s vision is to be the premier international Institution–of-choice
with state-of-the facilities to provide the petroleum and allied sectors,
world-class education, training research, consultancy and extension services.

FUPRE offers a remuneration package which is in consonance
with what obtains in Federal Government of Nigeria owned
Universities and additional incentive packages approved by
Council to attract and retain the interest and commitment of staff.

Successful applicants are expected to reside in the immediate
environment of the University.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Bursar is a Principal Officer and
as the Chief Financial Officer of the University is
responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day
administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.

THE PERSON:  Applicants for the post of Bursar must
have in the past exhibited considerable degree of
competence, responsiveness, demonstrable integrity
and transparency on matters of financial and human
resource management.  Applicants must be in good health
and able to endure the rigours of the duties of the Bursar.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must possess a good honours degree in
Accounting as well as professionally recognized
Accountancy qualifications, e.g. ICAN, ACMA, ACA,
CPA, ACCA, CNA. Possession of a higher degree will be an
added advantage.

 PLUS:
Fifteen (15) years post-qualification cognate experience,
at least 5 of which must have been as a Deputy Bursar or
 Director of Finance in a similar institution.

 Candidates are to write in not more than five hundred (500)
words, their vision for the University in funds generation and
management for the next five years.

Prospective candidates must show innovative approaches to
the running of an ICT-driven Bursary working at the highest
level of efficiency to eliminate time wasting, bureaucracy,
bottlenecks and fraud.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: The successful candidate
shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years in
line with Universities Miscellaneous Act 2012 and on such
terms and conditions applicable to Federal Universities in
Nigeria and as may be determined by appropriate
University Laws and the Governing Council.

should be requested by the applicant to forward
their referees report under confidential cover by
Courier Service directly to the Registrar.

of the Registrar, Federal University of Petroleum Resources,
