The information reaching us is that Jamb have reduced the cut off mark of 2013 from 180 to 170
this year,and candidates who scored below 170 will not have a chance of admission from JAMB.This was followed by the interview which the press had with jamb registrar Dibu Ojerinde.
He said that Jamb has adopted to reduce this 2013 cut off mark from 180 to 170, He went further to say that this was an agreement reached by the Jamb joint Committee and moreso,the result of 16,000 students out of 22,395 sized because of biometric verification and other problems has been released.
He went further to say that the cut off reduction was as a result of poor performance and that even if the board reduces it to 150 that some state will not fill their admission quota as he reported that some states produced 731 for jamb and as such, states like that cannot fill in. he said also that he has asked various degree awarding universities to adopt a different cut off mark to fill in states that are educationally less developed. he said that the body have not yet decided a cut off mark for states university. Ojerinde said that students who have not seen their resutls may not see it again,
And that some scripts were found that the computer cannot scan t due to the inability of the students to fill in relevant information needed, he explained that INSTRUCTIONS are part of examinations and that any body who insist on seeing his results shall be charged 25,000

ReplyDeleteI got 177 in my jamb and i applied for futo EEE. I don't know what my chances are as it now, i am adequately prepared. i know the kind of preparation i did before sitting for this JAMB.
