NUC DENIES SOME DEPARTMENT IN EBSU OF ACCREDITATION

Information reaching us had it that Nigerian Universities Commission,NUC has devased
Ebonyi  State University through the denial of accreditation to some department, while some were placed
on interim and others had full accreditation.

It stated that the university were last accredited on November 2007,some department 2008,
and upon these February 2013 accreditation loosed it.
The information we got from the school equally said that the institution is sad because twenty-five
departments were placed on interim and  such department include Applied Microbiology, Applied Biology,
Biotechnology, Accounting Education, Law, Medical Laboratory, Medicine and Surgery e.t.c.
However departments that were denied of admission Include Biochemistry,Industrial chemistry,Faculty of Arts,
Accounting, Linguistics e.t.c.
Nuc in the letter sent to the school stated that the implication to these effect is that the departments denied of accreditation
shall not admit new students into the department, Continuing students shall not be denied of their admission but upon
graduation shall not be called up for youth service, any certificate issued to any students during these period shall not be recoganized, it shall last for five years.
And for the department placed on interim if they fell to meet up after twon years they shall embark on back to back interim
that is denial of the accreditation
