Eto'o threatens media with legal action

Sanctioned Cameroon captain might be heading to court to cleanse his image following press reports about him.
Eto'o addressed a letter dated May 20 to three Cameroonian media organs for reports he deemed unfair against his person.
The Indomitable Lions captain condemned the reports of online tabloid Footafrica365, Camfoot and daily La Nouvelle Expression, for linking him to a group that is working to see the destabilisation of the Cameroon Football federation, Fecafoot and its officials.
"I am extremely angry with articles on Footafrica365, Camfootand La Nouvelle Expression that link me with a judicial mix-up of certain managers of the Cameroon football federation," he states in his letter.
"I distance myself from implication in a strange affair; and should not be treated as scapegoat in the ailments of Cameroon football and its managers," wrote Eto'o.
The reports of the three media outlets linked Eto'o with a ?citizen committee to redress Cameroon football' which the Cameroon roving Ambassador and African football legend, Roger Milla is championing. The ?citizen committee to redress Cameroon football' made up of persons discontented with football management, was created recently aimed at chasing Fecafoot President, Iya Mohammed, away from the federation.
Members of the committee have openly called for the departure of Fecafoot President Iya Mohamed and the dissolution of the FA. Among other things, Milla who is heading the group has also called for the repeal of the five-match ban on Eto'o. Even though the four-time African player of the year has been known to be at daggers drawn with officials of the federation, he has kept mute since his sanction.
Meantime, Iya wil be holding a rare press conference on Friday to address countless issue plaguing the federation and his recent questioning by judicial police.
